Based in France, in the department of the Lot, James Wink designs and makes furniture, as one off pieces or in small series. He also makes bespoke staircases, outdoor furniture and other installations to order.

During his previous working experience in London, he worked with many different materials, but built his reputation through his knowledge and use of wood. Wood is a living substance that continues to live after its transformation and remains today his prefered material. With informed jointing and well-conceived design, James considers that the inherent beauty of wood needs no further embellishment. His work is consequently contemporary, functional and lean in feel while maintaining the highest standards of traditional fine craftsmanship.
